Since moving to Colorado in 2008, I have had firsthand experience with a phenomenon that is unfortunately sweeping our nation. My wife tells me daily that the expected courtesy of yesteryear that she experienced as a child growing up in the Midwest has vanished and is nowhere to be found in the West.
