The New 2010 Volkswagen Passat

The new 2010 Volkswagen Passat focuses on packing as much comfort and dependability into a small car as possible, but it also features plenty of safety features. All styles of the Passat feature an Anti-Lock Braking System, which helps prevent the brakes from locking and causing the vehicle to slide. The front end has been designed to be crash optimized, with shock absorbing pads and properly placed crumple zones to protect the driver during front end collisions.
All 2010 Passats come standard with 6 airbags, located around the vehicle to optimally protect every passenger. Customers can also upgrade the airbag system to add two additional airbags, for extra safety in case of a crash. Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution is a newer feature that VW has added to this car. EBD allows the vehicle to add extra braking power to any wheel, allowing for a more controlled braking experience. If you slam on your brakes hard to avoid hitting another car, more weight and pressure is pushed onto the front brakes. The EBD system allows the car to add extra power to the front brakes to compensate, therefore avoiding sliding or loss of power.
This car also features a host of more minor, but still important, safety features. Like many new cars, this one features a built in tire pressure sensor, allowing the driver to monitor tire pressure electronically from inside the vehicle. Safety belts, shatter resistant glass, and all of the other regular safety features are also included in all packages. For anyone concerned about the safety of the vehicle they drive, the Passat has enough safety features to protect the driver and passengers during any situation.
